Our 2019 Benefit Show will be a country flavored extravaganza featuring two outstanding acts! The show will be opened by local legends 40 North playing from 7PM – 8 PM. Then, after a short intermission, our headline act will be Terry Lee Goffee presenting “The World’s Premier Johnny Cash Tribute.” More details to follow!
The new Mexican restaurant at 1919 NJ Rt 35 is hosting a $1 burrito event in support of the Wall Township First Aid and Rescue Squad. All proceeds from the sales of burritos on Tuesday, April 9, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. will be donated to the Wall First Aid to celebrate the’ grand opening and demonstrate Pancheros’ commitment to the community. Join us in grabbing a burrito and greeting the owners and employees at Pancheros. See you there!
Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad working as a team with Wall Community First Aid aided three patients at a house fire on Bayshore Court. Two residents were treated and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Wall First Aid and a fireman was treated and transported by Wall Community First Aid. Mayor Tim Farrell administered the oath of office to the 2019 Line and Executive Officers of Wall Township First Aid and Rescue Squad in a short ceremony held at the Squad building. Officers for 2019 are:
Line Officers: Captain Christina Hernandez, 1st Lt. Steve Wisner, 2nd Lt. T. J. Constantino
Executive Officers: President Steve DiGuiseppe, Vice President Andy Wood, Secretary Josephine Terranova, Treasurer Peggy Lomerson
Trustees: Bob Baumgartner, Jeff Foster, Donna Hernandez, Gordon Meyers, John Terranova
On 2 February 2018, Wall Township First Aid and Rescue Squad dedicated the Squad Assembly Room to the memory of Former Captain, Former President, and Life Member William (Bill) Voelkelwho passed away unexpectedly a few months earlier. The dedication took place just ahead of the Squad’s monthly meeting and was attended by Bill’s wife Mary Voelkel and representatives of the 1st District of the NJ EMS Council.
Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to 50 requests for service during the month of October 2017, continuing the recent trend for an average of slightly fewer than 2 calls per day. Squad 52-21 calls break out as 23 Basic Life Support (Squad EMTs), 8 Advanced Life Support (Squad EMTs supporting MONOC Paramedics), 6 responses to the Garden State Parkway, 6 motor vehicle accidents, and 4 responses to fire calls. Three of the calls were answered under mutual agreements with nearby Squads. For 2017, Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to a total of 754 calls for service.
Executive Officers, Line Officers, and Trustees for Wall Township First Aid and Rescue Squad have been elected for the 2018 calendar year. A swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for January 1, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Squad building. The Executive Officers for 2018 will be President Steve DiGuiseppe, Vice President Andy Wood, Treasurer Peggy Lomerson, and Secretary Josephine Terranova. The Line Officers for 2018 will be Captain Christina Hernandez, First Lieutenant John Kosinski, Second Lieutenant Steve Wisner, and Sergeant T. J. Constantino. Trustees for 2018 will be Bob Baumgartner, Jeff Foster, Donna Hernandez, Gordon Meyers, and John Terranova.
Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to 48 requests for service during the month of October 2017, an average of slightly less than 2 calls per day for the second time this year. Squad 52-21 calls break out as 19 Basic Life Support (Squad EMTs), 4 Advanced Life Support (Squad EMTs supporting MONOC Paramedics), 4 responses to the Garden State Parkway, 4 motor vehicle accidents, 2 responses to fire calls, and 6 standby responses. Five of the calls were answered as mutual aid to our sister Squad 52-22 at Wall Community First Aid. Other calls involved mutual aid to Manasquan and Belmar.
Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to 51 requests for service during the month of October 2017, an average of slightly less than 2 calls per day for the first time this year. Squad 52-21 calls break out as 20 Basic Life Support (Squad EMTs), 7 Advanced Life Support (Squad EMTs supporting MONOC Paramedics), 3 responses to the Garden State Parkway, 11 motor vehicle accidents, 3 responses to fire calls, and 4 standby responses. Four of the calls were answered as mutual aid to our sister Squad 52-22 at Wall Community First Aid.
