A Community of Volunteers

We, the members of the Wall First Aid & Rescue Squad, are all volunteers, community members, and most importantly, your friends and neighbors. We take great pride in delivering free Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Rescue assistance to the residents of Wall Township, and providing EMS support to the Glendola and West Belmar Fire Companies.

The Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad relies on individuals, like yourself, who reside in the township, to help make a difference in a person’s life by being part of a team that provides basic life support in a medical emergency to your neighbors, friends and relatives. A Registered Nurse, receptionist, a medical sales executive, a company director, a school bus driver, a police officer, a fitness consultant, and a retired school teacher are just some of your neighbors who volunteer their time to help save a life.

Dedicated squad members, all volunteers, are lead by a team of officers with a wealth of experience in Emergency Medical Services and provide the knowledge and leadership necessary to maintain the highest standards in patient care in your community.

Do not confuse the term volunteer with amateur. Our members are all qualified to perform their duties and dedicate themselves to maintaining and enhancing their skills.

Some of our members are trained in:

  • Awareness of Hazardous Materials
  • The Emergency Services Incident Command System
  • Awareness of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
  • All drivers are TRAINED in the operation of emergency vehicles.
  • Members who treat patients are all Basic Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) certified by the State of New Jersey to perform their duties.
  • Some of our members are additionally certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
  • Many of our members have taken more advanced level training in Pediatric care, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, and Assisting Paramedics.
  • Some of our members through their experience and skill have become certified EMT instructors, CPR instructors, nurses and paramedics.
