Fire in the News
A structure fire at the warehouse facility of Taylor’s Towing on Hurley Pond Road in Wall Township has received coverage in the Asbury Park Press, Wall Patch, and News 12 New Jersey. Three firefighters from Glendola Fire Company were injured while fighting the blaze with two being transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Wall Township First Aid & Rescue Squad and Wall Community First Aid Squad. Wall Township Police Department reports none of the injuries as life-threatening. The emergency response from Wall Township included Wall Township Police, Wall Police EMS, Glendola Fire Company, South Wall Fire Rescue, West Belmar Fire Company, Wall First Aid & Rescue, Wall Community First Aid, Wall Township Building Department, and the Wall Township Fire Marshal office. Mutual aid including water tankers were provided by Squankum Fire Company, Southard Fire Department, and Ramtown Fire Company of Howell Township, Naval Weapons Station Earle, Tinton Falls Fire Company, Wayside Fire and Rescue, Shark River Hills Fire Company, Neptune City Fire Department, Spring Lake Fire Department, Manasquan Fire Department, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department, Herbertsville Fire Company, Jackson Mills Fire Department, Manalapan Fire Department, Morganville Fire Department, Millstone Fire Department, Robertsville Fire Department, Hope Fire Company, and Applegarth Volunteer Engine Company.
