Wall Townships First Aid Squad makes it’s first purchases
We bought a 5 HP siren for $395. It was wired to Calvin Woolley’s home next to his garage. Mrs. Bessie Woolley answered phone calls and blew the siren 3 long blasts. Later on, in January 1943, Mrs. Woolley became sick and William Tilton and Mrs. Jennie Gardiner answered phone calls in the daytime until we moved into our rebuilt home on Monmouth Boulevard, August 6, 1943.
