1940 – How Wall First Aid grew in the beginning
A lot of work was done by members to keep the squad going. We had scrap metal drives (our biggest asset). Our President, Vernon Shibla, was our best collector. Being the Chief of Police, he got around the entire Township. We also, we had paper drives, minstrels, fairs, solicited house to house and sent out letters for donations.
The Township Committee helped us and the Township Board of Health also helped us.
Our Wall Township First Aid Auxillary was founded March 26, 1940. They were a great help to the squad â money donations, sheets, pillows and blankets, towels and other equipment.
